Divisional Finance and Information Manager

Join University Hospitals of Derby and Burton as our Divisional Finance and Information Manager within the Cancer, Diagnostics and Clinical Services (CDCS) Division. You will play a pivotal role in shaping future service delivery, influencing decision-making, and supporting the organisation in responding to a complex financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Business Unit Accountants and Management Accountants, delivering high-quality financial service to leaders and managers across the Division.
• Oversee day‑to‑day financial management, providing expert financial advice and support to business units and budget holders.
• Collaborate with the wider Corporate Finance team to resolve complex and challenging financial issues.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly financial and performance reports, including forecasts, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Engage with budget holders to ensure robust financial planning and informed decision‑making.
• Communicate financial information clearly and influence stakeholders to drive performance and support future management actions.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and value for money, supporting service transformation and the delivery of sustainable, high‑quality healthcare services.
