We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised Product Manager to join our marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage your own collections, from test to launch and everything in between including promotional materials, TV ads, market research and P&L management & sales analysis.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinating and scheduling all marketing activity for your own portfolio of titles across the full product lifecycle; including market research, test, launch and subsequent launches in additional territories
- Organising and managing consumer focus groups to research new concepts
- Developing, to schedule, creative, compelling and engaging printed marketing materials for product tests and launches, including managing licensor approvals where necessary
- Planning and optimising customer acquisition campaigns through effective digital marketing campaigns incorporating SEM, social ads, display and email – monitoring response to optimise spend, achieve acquisition targets and improve retention
- Supporting the Senior Product Manager with the development of TV ads
- Briefing web design agencies and overseeing subscription websites creation with a focus on user experience to create & optimize new sites for tests and launches
- Identifying new marketing channels and creative approaches to reach new audiences
- Creating and managing P&L spreadsheets for your titles, including keeping track of promotion, production, distribution and fulfilment costs
- Analysing market tests and prepare recommendation based on results
- Sales analysis and reporting
- Helping to maximise subscriptions by sourcing appealing subscription gifts
- Collaborating with relevant departments, including logistics, editorial, production and finance, and managing multiple agencies, licensers, freelancers and other commercial partners
About you
- Detail-oriented self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
- Organised, quick to learn and hands-on with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Able to develop compelling marketing copy, visuals, and multimedia content
- Data-driven with strong analytical skills and the ability to measure and evaluate product success
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Collaborative team player, eager to contribute to a small, cross-functional team
- Diplomatic and respectful, with strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders and customers
Background and experience
- 2+ years marketing experience, preferably in a B2C environment
- Experience in the publishing industry is desirable, however candidates with a good knowledge of operational planning / management will be considered
- Strong understanding of digital & direct marketing practices
- Experience of budget management is desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A genuine passion for publishing and an awareness of and interest in the types of titles we publish
