Location: London
Job Description:

A well-established architectural practice is looking for an experienced Project Architect, Architect or Architectural Technician to join its team on an initial contract basis. This is a fully remote opportunity to support the technical delivery of complex High-Risk Residential Buildings (HRBs) as projects progress from RIBA Stage 3 into Stage 4, with a particular focus on Gateway 2 submissions and Building Safety Act compliance. You would be joining an experienced technical team working on large-scale residential developments across the UK, playing a key role in coordinating technical information, producing compliant drawing packages and supporting the delivery of major schemes through one of the most critical stages of the design process. This role would suit someone with a strong technical background who understands the requirements of HRB projects and can confidently work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment from a fully remote location. This role is outside IR35

Job Description

  • Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawing packages in Revit for High-Risk Residential Buildings
  • Support projects progressing from RIBA Stage 3 into Stage 4
  • Prepare and coordinate information required for Gateway 2 submissions
  • Ensure designs comply with Building Regulations and Building Safety Act requirements
  • Coordinate information with consultants, contractors and the wider design team
  • Review technical information and resolve design coordination issues
  • Support project delivery through technical design and pre-construction stages
  • Participate in remote project meetings with multidisciplinary teams

Key Skills

  • ARB Architect, Architectural Technician or experienced Project Architect with strong technical delivery experience
  • Excellent Revit proficiency is essential
  • Demonstrable experience delivering UK High-Risk Residential Buildings (typically residential buildings over 18m / 7+ storeys)
  • Strong understanding of RIBA Stages 3 and 4
  • Experience preparing or supporting Gateway 2 submissions and working within the Building Safety Act framework is highly desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and technical detailing
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused professional to join a busy practice delivering complex residential projects at a pivotal stage. Offering fully remote working, the role provides the chance to apply specialist Gateway and HRB expertise on significant UK developments while working alongside an experienced technical team.
