PRINCIPAL PROPERTY LAWYER (Interim) – Remote | £350 per day (Inside IR35) | 3+ Months

Location: Greater Manchester – Primarily Remote (with occasional office attendance)

Rate: £350 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 3+ months interim assignment, with potential for extension

Allen Lane is working with a public sector organisation seeking an experienced Solicitor to join a busy legal team handling a diverse and high-profile property law caseload across Manchester, Salford and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and self-sufficient legal professional who can quickly integrate into an established team and manage matters independently from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of complex property matters.
  • Advising on and drafting development agreements and building leases.
  • Supporting residential and commercial development projects.
  • Handling a range of landlord and tenant matters, including complex and time-critical cases.
  • Providing pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders on high-profile projects and transactions.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor holding a current practising certificate.
  • Significant experience in property law, ideally gained within local government, public sector or a comparable environment.
  • Strong technical expertise across development, regeneration and landlord and tenant matters.
  • Able to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to start at short notice and able to hit the ground running.

Additional Information

  • Predominantly home-based/remote working.
  • Occasional attendance at the office may be required.
  • Initial contract of 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension.
