A highly regarded interior design studio based in Paddington, London is seeking an experienced Interior Designer with core skills within technical design, but still with an understanding of Luxury Interior Design.
This is a key technical role within the studio and would suit someone with a strong Interior Design background. The position is heavily focused on technical delivery, drawing accuracy, and translating high-end design concepts into fully resolved, buildable solutions.
The studio delivers exceptional luxury residential and hospitality interiors, including high-end private homes, boutique hospitality spaces, and exclusive members’ clubs. They are looking for someone who thrives in the technical detail of a project—from architectural planning and technical drawing packages through to on-site problem-solving and coordination with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
The Role
As a Designer, you will play a critical role in the technical development and delivery of projects, helping to ensure all drawing packages, technical details, and construction information are accurate, coordinated, and ready for execution.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, this individual will support both internal design teams and external project teams to drive technical excellence across the studio’s portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing and developing detailed architectural space planning and floor plans across multiple projects
- Creating comprehensive technical drawing packages with minimal direction
- Carrying out measured surveys and site assessments where required
- Reviewing and approving supplier drawings, technical details, and subcontractor packages for accuracy and suitability
- Checking schedules, control packs, and technical documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Developing bespoke technical solutions for custom joinery and FF&E elements
- Translating concept designs into practical, buildable technical packages
- Attending site visits, documenting key actions, and responding to contractor and supplier queries
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and external technical teams throughout project delivery
- Supporting the development and refinement of studio drawing standards and technical workflows
This is a highly collaborative position with strong visibility across the business, requiring both technical confidence and excellent communication skills.

- Proven experience working within high-end luxury residential and/or hospitality design at a comparable level
- Experienced enough to work efficiently, independently, and accurately
- Strong ability to analyse work while progressing, considering spatial layout, technical coordination, and potential design pitfalls
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced design environment where design changes and refinements are a normal part of the process
The studio is looking for a technically exceptional individual with strong spatial awareness, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Candidates will ideally have 3–5+ years of professional experience in interior architecture, technical interior design, or a similar CAD-heavy role, ideally within luxury residential, hospitality, or members’ club environments.
What you will bring:
- A qualification in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Proven experience producing technical drawing packages for high-end residential and/or hospitality projects
- Strong technical understanding of interior construction, joinery detailing, and build processes
- Extensive experience in AutoCAD and strong 2D/3D drawing capability, including SketchUp
- Confidence interpreting client requirements and translating them into technical solutions
- Excellent project coordination and workflow management skills
- A meticulous and methodical approach to reviewing drawings and identifying errors before issue
