A highly respected London law firm is seeking an experienced Costs Draftsperson to join their Family Department, focusing on legal aid billing. This Central London-based role offers hybrid working and an immediate start opportunity.
The successful Costs Draftsperson will be responsible for managing legal aid billing using CCMS and CWA, handling EC1, ECF, Claim1, Claim1A, Claim2, and Detailed Bills. The role will involve liaising with other Costs Draftspersons, submitting outcomes on CCMS, allocating costs for counsel, uploading final orders, and addressing notifications from courts and professionals.
Experience with legal aid billing, claims against public authorities, and public law matters such as judicial reviews is highly desirable. The successful Costs Draftsperson will also manage payments on account, analyse BACS statements, and ensure accurate and timely billing.
