Production Lead Grower – £35,000 – £45,000 per year, depending on experience, plus an annual performance bonus – Enfield, EN2
Are you an experienced grower ready to take the lead in a busy production nursery? Do you enjoy managing teams, improving plant health and keeping large-scale growing operations running smoothly?
The role
Anglo Aquatic is looking for a hands-on Production Lead Grower to join our 6-acre nursery.
This is a key leadership role, working closely with the Nursery Operations Manager to manage propagation, potting, plant health, irrigation and stock planning. You will help produce high volumes of quality plants for the current and upcoming seasons.
Relocation support may be available for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Lead the propagation and potting teams, including daily briefings
- Manage plant health, seeding, watering, pruning, pest control and spraying
- Take ownership of potting operations, including machine setup and troubleshooting
- Manage plugs, stock levels, supplies and production schedules
- Operate forklifts, telehandlers and other plant machinery where required
- Support safe, organised and efficient movement of stock around site
- Set high standards for quality, cleanliness, safety and team performance

The person
You will need several years’ experience as a grower, supervisor or team leader within horticulture, agriculture or nursery production.
You will also need:
- A relevant horticultural qualification
- PA1/PA6 spraying licences
- Strong plant health and irrigation knowledge
- Good planning and stock control skills
- Confidence working outdoors in a physical, hands-on role
- Machinery experience, or willingness to complete training
- Aquatic plant experience would be helpful, but it is not essential.
