Our client, a residential and hospitality developer, are looking to appoint a Construction Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor. As this is working in house for the Developer, it will be varied, all encompassing role.
Necessary experience
- Professionally qualified with a construction background.
- Budget estimating, budgetary control and pricing experience.
- Be able to estimate costs for appraisal purposes based on designs produced by Architects
- Supreme knowledge of JCT Building Contracts and warranties required from main contractors / subcontractors and experience of negotiating terms.
- A strong understanding of development procurement (subcontractor and suppliers)
- Good practical knowledge of the construction process on site, and be able to challenge timelines given by the site teams.
- Checking through subcontractor applications, responding back in a timely manner and obtaining invoices for draw downs by the required dates.
- Preparing and agreeing interim valuations.
- Preparing estimation of direct costs.

- Ability to multi task and manage multiple developments
- Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel
