The Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide vital support to clients with a range of needs—from mild to challenging learning disabilities, mental health issues, and physical disabilities. You’ll work in and around the Leeds area, helping individuals live more independently while delivering person-centred care and encouragement.
Responsibilities
- Supporting clients with daily living tasks and personal care according to individual needs
- Encouraging independence and positive choices
- Assisting with medication where trained
- Building positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Adapting to different care environments across various settings
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of six months’ experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, or physical disabilities
- A full driver’s licence is an advantage but not essential
- Medications training is useful—if you don’t have this, training will be provided
- Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not offered)
- Reliability, flexibility, and a compassionate, proactive approach to care
