Department: ResidentialEmployment Type: Permanent – Full TimeLocation: Calvington House – Newport, ShropshireReporting To: laura duckersCompensation: £32,242 – £35,745 per year (including 6–10 sleeps per month paid at £60 per sleep and an hourly rate of £13.45 – £13.75 depending on qualification. Opportunities to pick up overtime at enhanced rate.)Hours: 173 hours per month – shift pattern 2 days on, 4 days off, with sleep‑ins. Rotas provided in advance. Service operates 365 days a year.
Role Summary
We look for nurturing and supportive people to provide the best quality care to young people in our residential home near Newport. The support worker will assist with all domestic needs, socialisation skills, daily activities and excursions. The role includes supporting educational participation and coordinating with schools to deliver personalised education plans.
Essential Requirements
- Full driving licence issued in the UK
- Full right to work in the UK without restrictions
- Alignment with Esland’s values, including a therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare
- Minimum age 21 or above (as per industry regulations)
- Previous childcare or support worker experience advantageous but not essential
