Experienced Care Assistant

Job Overview

At Abbots Care we pride ourselves on changing people’s lives for the better. We are looking for a caregiver to support vulnerable people in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Help people leave hospital as soon as practicably possible and safely transition back home.
• Visit Service Users in their own homes to provide appropriate care and support as defined in the Care Plan.
• Provide personal care, administer medication, monitor vital signs, assist with exercise and domestic tasks.
• Liaise with medical professionals such as district nurses and pharmacies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
• Own vehicle required for the role.
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care (required for hourly rate).

Work Hours & Pay

• Shift patterns: 7 am‑2 pm and 4 pm‑10 pm, inclusive of alternate weekends.
• Hourly rate: £13.43 ph on weekdays, £15.50 ph on weekends.
• Contract up to 40 hours per week.
• Paid mileage at 40 p per mile.
• Paid training and DBS checks.
