Job Overview

ACC Care Group is looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated Support Workers to join our Mental Health team. You will provide person‑centred support to individuals living with mental health conditions, helping them maintain independence, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes within their community. The role involves lone working, community‑based support, and promoting wellbeing while ensuring people feel safe, respected, and empowered.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting individuals with daily living and community access
  • Providing emotional support and promoting independence
  • Supporting people during periods of anxiety or crisis using de‑escalation techniques
  • Encouraging participation in social and community activities
  • Recording accurate care notes and reporting concerns
  • Following care plans and risk assessments
  • Working professionally with families and healthcare professionals

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in mental health, community care or support work (preferred)
  • Calm and confident approach in challenging situations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compassionate and professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good written documentation skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to complete mandatory training
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
