Student School Health Nurse

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for development within the Sandwell School Health Nursing Service. We are seeking highly motivated, committed, and innovative nurses to make a difference to children and young people working within the public health agenda. As a Student School Nurse you will engage in training to complete the BSC (Hons) Degree in Community Health (Specialist Practitioner award in School Nursing).

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 50% theory and 50% practical course in partnership with the assigned university.
• Collaborate with all relevant parties within the practice area and the university.
• Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team within the School Nursing Team.
• Carry out clinical duties with patients/clients as agreed with your Lead Nurse.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a school health nurse.
• Strong commitment to early help and extra support for children and young people.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment.
