Overview
An exciting opportunity to work alongside a friendly and motivated team of nurses and health professionals on a surgical assessment unit and surgical wards. The Clinical Support Worker assists in the systematic assessment of patients admitted to SDEC and our surgical wards by undertaking a series of diagnostic tests as advised by doctors and registered nurses.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood tests, ECGs and other diagnostic tests directed by doctors and registered nurses.
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of patients on SDEC and surgical wards.
- Support nurses and doctors in collection and preparation of samples and recording of results.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all performed tests.
Desirable Skills and Attributes
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
- Excellent communication skills and a dynamic, patient‑focused attitude.
