Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Joiner / Multi-Skilled Joiner to carry out a wide range of joinery and general maintenance works across commercial and domestic properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of first and second fix joinery duties.
• Install and replace windows, ensuring a high standard of finish.
• Fit kitchens, including cabinets, worktops, trims, and associated joinery.
• Install and replace external doors, including frames, ironmongery, and adjustments.
• Construct basic timber stud wall partitions.
• Install demountable partition systems in commercial environments.
• Complete minor plumbing works associated with installations and maintenance, such as replacing taps, sinks, waste pipes, and sanitary fittings.
• Install carpet tiles to a high standard, including preparation and finishing.
• Fit plastic skirting and finishing trims.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works as required.
• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current building regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Accurately complete job records and report any issues or additional works identified.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Proven experience as a qualified Joiner or Carpenter.
• Experience fitting windows, kitchens, and external doors.
• Knowledge of timber stud partitioning and demountable partition systems.
• Competent in basic plumbing tasks.
• Experience installing carpet tiles and plastic skirting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• CSCS Card.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
• Experience working in commercial maintenance or fit-out environments.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working practices.
