Job Overview
Full-time position, 40 hours a week. Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours work as required. Located in the Coventry, Litchfield, Wolverhampton area.
Salary: £36,000 – £43,000, dependent on skills and qualifications. Must have a valid driving licence.
Responsibilities
The electrician will be responsible for performing electrical work related to maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and providing electrical engineering support. The successful candidate will be expected to complete all tasks with precision and excellence, as assigned by supervisors.
The successful candidate will work on commercial sites under various maintenance contracts, including but not limited to hospitals, public houses, schools, restaurants, hotels, banks, and court houses.
Engineering duties may include design, testing and other electrical engineering tasks, and the electrician will work both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Electrical skills and practical application of electrical regulations and safety guidelines.
- Maintenance & repair skills, including knowledge and practical application of electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting skills for identifying and correcting electrical issues using various instruments, tools and methods.
- Electrical engineering skills, including design and testing, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle physically demanding work and work at heights.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in the electrical industry preferred.
- Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications required.
- Knowledge of IT skills due to admin tasks that must be fulfilled weekly.
