An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover site based in Newcastle.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the accounts department. Working closely with the dealership’s Assistant Accountant and Retailer Accountant, you’ll be responsible for day‑to‑day transactional accounting tasks, supporting accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the success of the business.

Hours: 40 hours per week
Role Responsibilities
- Checking and re-allocating nominal postings
- Coding of Purchase Invoices
- Credit Control
- Ledger maintenance – ensuring sales and purchase ledgers are tidy
- Initiating monthly run and paying inter‑company accounts
- Checking and allocating manufacturer commission
- Stock counts
- Daily banking
Qualifications
- Experience in credit control
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- IT literate
- General office / administration experience
- Effective time management and attention to detail
- AAT qualification desirable but not essential
- Experience working in the motor industry and knowledge of Kerridge desirable, but not essential (full training provided)
