About Us
Storrington Primary School is seeking to appoint caring, enthusiastic and committed 1:1 Inclusion Assistants to support pupils with additional needs on a full-time, fixed-term basis. These posts are linked to the placement of named pupils and the continued availability of Local Authority funding.

The successful candidates will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO/Inclusion Lead and wider school staff to provide high-quality support for pupils with SEND and/or social, emotional and communication needs. This may include supporting children’s access to learning, promoting independence, helping pupils to regulate and engage positively, and contributing to a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Job Details
Salary: G3 SCP 3-4 (£24,796 – £25,185 full-time equivalent, pro rata)
Contract Type: Fixed term (Specific child related funding so contract will end if child leaves)
Working Pattern: Mon-Fri 8.40-3.10 (30 hours per week)
Location: Storrington Primary School

What You Need to Succeed
We are looking for individuals who:
- have a warm, calm and positive approach with children
- are committed to inclusion and equal opportunities for all learners
- can build trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families
- are patient, resilient and able to respond flexibly to individual needs
- have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
- can follow guidance from teachers, the SENCO and external professionals
- are able to support pupils’ learning, social communication, emotional regulation and independence
- understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries
Experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable, although training and support will be provided.
