Housing Management Worker

Location: Leeds

Employment: Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), Monday to Friday

Salary: £13.45 per hour (£26,300 per annum) and benefits including Health Cash Plan

Job Summary

This role supports customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. You will provide housing management services, assisting tenants in managing and maintaining tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to secure, long‑term accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and involve customers aged 55 and over in their tenancies.
  • Support customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring claims are credited to rent accounts.
  • Turn around vacant or void rooms/bed spaces/properties within set timescales, including performing routine maintenance tasks such as broom or paint work.
  • Carry out and record routine safety and compliance checks in buildings and communities to maintain compliance.

Candidate Profile

  • Background in property management is preferred, but not mandatory. Experience in compliance and health and safety checks is advantageous.
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service and genuine desire to help customers.
  • Able to work independently, positively influencing people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues across the business and external partners.
  • Enthusiastic about property and enjoys ensuring properties are the best they can be for customers.

Practical Information

  • Flexible working hours (or open to agreeing a work pattern). Based at our Leeds service.
  • Use of technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims, and managing tenancy sign‑ups.
  • Enhanced DBS check required (paid by employer).
