Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Community Care directorate. The role is based at Lightwood House and involves working closely with admin colleagues within the Integrated Community Care Admin Team. The post holder will provide a confidential and comprehensive administration service to support the Therapy Team, presenting a professional image at all times.
Location
Based at Lightwood House, the role also supports Integrated Care Teams at Community Care group bases across the city, including the Firth Park Clinic, S5, as and when needed.
Working Hours
The post is full-time: 37.5 hours per week. Core business hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high quality, timely, efficient and flexible confidential administration service to the ICC Service across the city according to workload demands and agreed priorities.
- Use Trust electronic systems to plan and coordinate patient visits and staff rotas, arranging cover where necessary.
- Receive, process and allocate referrals for the ICT Service, triage urgent referrals to senior clinicians, discern types of referrals (e.g. Falls pathway) and send the remainder for clinical triage within stipulated waiting times.
- Carry out computer duties using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and e-mail, with long periods of keyboard work and regular query interruptions from clinical staff.
- Manage equipment, stationery and stock levels, process orders as required and record datix incidents.
- Manage and prioritise own workload using own initiative, working alone and unsupervised at clinical team bases with an admin coordinator available for support.
- Triage non‑clinical tasks, prioritise and pass them onto the appropriate clinical staff.
