Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed.

We are looking to recruit two Relief Facility Assistants to join the current facilities team, working across Ceredigion County Council’s Direct Services residential care homes. These posts will provide additional flexible capacity to support the service during periods of sickness, annual leave, training and short-term operational pressures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the homes remain safe, clean and well maintained for residents, staff and visitors
  • Routine maintenance, environmental checks, health and safety tasks, fire and equipment checks
  • Other practical duties to support the day‑to‑day operation of the homes

We are looking for reliable, flexible and practical individuals with good communication skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining a high‑quality environment.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar practical role
  • Full and valid UK driving licence
  • Access to a vehicle or transport for business travel
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Welsh language skills desirable; successful candidate expected to develop required Welsh language levels within two years of appointment
