Responsibilities
- Support end‑user equipment and your building’s IT infrastructure
- Help with key network projects, such as the IT setup of new Amazon buildings
- Suggest new processes that improve the way Amazon uses IT in its operational sites
- Train and mentor IT technicians
A Day in the Life
You’re based on site and will travel to other operational sites in your country, and potentially internationally, several times a month. As an IT Support Engineer you’ll work with remote and on‑site colleagues to support them with any issues, ensuring our platforms run at their best. You’ll often implement projects to maintain or improve our IT infrastructure, and sometimes help design the infrastructure for new buildings and ensure everything works for a site launch. You’ll troubleshoot disruptive IT incidents one day and develop new processes the next, and you’ll spend time training and mentoring colleagues, seeing their growth and your own career advance.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting Windows, Mac and/or Linux operating systems in a corporate setting
- Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems
- Experience maintaining zebra thermal printers, troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals
- Experience with network troubleshooting and support
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS or other industry‑relevant certifications
- Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
