Role Overview

Assist the Academy Kit Manager with kit and equipment requirements for Academy players, staff, Pre‑Academy and Blues Elite. Support day‑to‑day operations of the PDP and schoolboy programmes by ensuring kit and equipment requirements are met for training and fixtures, including printing initials and numbers where needed. Participate in staff meetings and provide kit department input to support Academy programme running. Cover First Team kit duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute kit for PDP training sessions and fixtures; lead distribution for Academy schoolboy age groups, Pre‑Academy and Blues Elite.
  • Support seasonal kit distribution and set up for new Academy staff and players, liaising with relevant staff, players and parents.
  • Attend Academy fixtures when requested.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain appropriate kit and equipment levels across the season.
  • Order academy kit and equipment to replenish stock.
  • Ensure daily laundering of academy staff and player training and match kit, including washing, drying, folding and storage.
  • Maintain high standards in the laundry room, kit room, boot room and equipment storage areas, keeping work areas clean, safe, tidy and organised.
  • Manage data securely in line with GDPR and club data protection procedures.
  • Engage in club competency framework, appraisal process and relevant continuing professional development.
  • Comply with staff handbook policies, particularly safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, data protection, health and safety, and safer working practices.
  • Undertake other duties within the scope of the post as requested by the Academy Kit Manager and Head of Academy Operations.

Desirable Experience

  • FA Safeguarding experience in a busy, pressurised environment.
  • Experience working at a football academy.
