Job Description
You will be supporting two women who live together and attend a local day centre during weekdays. Some days are half‑days, giving each of them dedicated 1:1 time in the home or out in the community. You’ll help them maintain their routines, promote independence and life skills, enjoy their hobbies, and feel safe and supported in their environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, and to encourage independence.
- Support activities of daily living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
- Communicate effectively using people’s chosen methods.
- Engage and motivate people to enhance their quality of life.
- Specialise in supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
- Record and keep accurate records & report any changes in health or circumstances to management.
- Work as part of a team and use your own initiative where needed.
Schedule
Various shifts available. Sleep shifts (10pm–7am) paid at £60 per night. Flexibility to cover a mixture of day shifts, evenings and weekends is required.
Requirements
- Legal right to work for a minimum of 12 months.
- Experience supporting people with complex needs (Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health).
