HGV Class 1 – Low loader

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well‑established logistics and access equipment provider, for an experienced Class 1 Low Loader Driver.

This role involves delivering and collecting access equipment using a Class 1 (C+E) low loader, completing planned routes with a manageable workload of 3–4 drops per day. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe transportation, loading and unloading, and operating equipment on site where required using a valid IPAF qualification.

This is a long‑term opportunity offering consistent hours, excellent pay, and the potential to move from ongoing agency work to a permanent position.

Main Duties

• Deliver and collect access equipment using a Class 1 low loader
• Complete approximately 3–4 planned drops per day
• Safely load, secure, and unload equipment
• Operate access equipment on site in line with IPAF certification
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensure compliance with tachograph, driver hours, and road safety regulations
• Adhere to site rules, health & safety, and company procedures
• Maintain a professional and customer‑facing approach at all times

Salary & Benefits

• £24.00 per hour
• Minimum 10 hours paid per day (guaranteed)
• Working hours: 06:00 – 16:00
• Ongoing work with temp‑to‑perm potential

Candidate Attributes and Experience

Essential:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Proven low loader experience
• Valid IPAF ticket
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Strong understanding of load security and site safety
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude

Desirable:

• Experience delivering access or plant equipment
• Previous site‑based delivery experience
