Grounds Maintenance Operative Gardener – Hereford

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to deliver garden maintenance using a range of equipment, including ride‑on mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers, blows and other powered tools.
• Follow a detailed plan for each estate to provide a high standard of service across all areas.
• Ensure all lawns and communal areas are cut, edged, and left neat, tidy and well‑cared for.
• Safely remove and dispose of green waste to keep sites clean, tidy and environmentally compliant.
• Perform hedge and bush reduction, shaping, trimming and shrub pruning to keep landscapes healthy and attractive.
• Carry out effective weed control using approved methods.
• Maintain a safe and attractive estate by picking litter and doing general site tidying.
• Support upkeep of paved and slabbed areas with sweeping, weed treatment and light repairs.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive a manual company vehicle.
• Previous experience as a Grounds Maintenance Operative – Gardener.
• Basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
• PA1 & PA6 spraying licence.
• Banksman training.
• Ability to drive a trailer.
