Trident Consulting is seeking a Chemical Production Operator for one of our clients in Martin, SC. Our client is a global leader in business and technology services.

Position: Chemical Production Operator

Location: Martin, SC 29836 (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour on W2

Duration: Contract (12 Months)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Overtime: Occasional overtime as needed

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a Chemical Production Operator / Manufacturing Technician to support manufacturing operations in a chemical production environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in chemical manufacturing, forklift operation, safe chemical handling, and production processes while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform production and packaging operations according to established procedures and protocols.
  • Transport chemicals, raw materials, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, pumps, piping systems, and dollies.
  • Monitor product quality and quantity throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Follow all production procedures, quality standards, and safety policies.
  • Wear and maintain appropriate PPE, including respirators, gloves, and protective suits as required.
  • Clean equipment and work areas following production activities.
  • Coordinate waste disposal and complete compliance documentation.
  • Maintain accurate production records, batch records, and logbooks.
  • Communicate production status, equipment issues, and process deviations to supervisors.
  • Participate in safety training, quality programs, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, chemical production, or industrial environment.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Experience handling chemicals and following safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move materials over 20 lbs.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of chemical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with batch production, packaging operations, and process documentation.
