12 Month Rolling Contract | Site based role Mon- Fri (8am-4pm)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a key client for a Support Assistant to join the Application Support team, supporting a key nuclear manufacturing facility.

The Role

You’ll be part of a dynamic support team, providing day-to-day assistance to plant operators across the manufacturing process. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be resolving system issues, supporting users, and working closely with software developers and operational teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and resolving multiple support queries from plant operators
  • Identifying and troubleshooting data issues within control systems
  • Reporting root causes of problems to software development teams
  • Supporting end‑users in the effective use of applications
  • Working collaboratively with personnel across all levels of the site

Technical Requirements

  • Experience with Oracle Database / SQL within a working environment (1+year)
  • Ability to read source code (e.g. PL/SQL, C)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well organised and able to follow defined processes
  • Reliable, with strong attention to detail and attendance
  • Happy to undergo BPSS security clearance prior to starting, and to be enhanced to SC whilst in assignments.
  • Our client is unable to sponsor candidates who are on a works visa

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree or higher qualification in a software-related discipline
  • Interest in software systems within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a technical support role
  • People who are local to site would be preferred
