Are you a driven professional seeking to make an impact in Grounds Maintenance? We are looking for gardeners to join our busy grounds maintenance team to maintain our estates in Coventry.

We are looking for someone who will work as part of a team to deliver this service using a range of equipment, including ride‑on and walk‑through mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers, blowers and other tools. You will work from a plan on each estate which enables you to deliver a high standard of service across all areas.

£25,893 per year

Hours

37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 3.30pm / Friday 7.30am – 3.00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Take pride in delivering high‑quality grass cutting across our estates and communal areas using modern tools and equipment.
  • Ensure the safe removal and disposal of green waste, keeping all sites clean, tidy and environmentally compliant.
  • Maintain hedge and bush reduction, careful shaping and trimming to keep landscapes healthy and attractive.
  • Use strimmers and other powered tools to give borders, edges and hard‑to‑reach spots a crisp finish.
  • Carry out effective weed control using approved methods to keep estates presentable.
  • Take ownership of shrub pruning, maintenance and seasonal planting to create vibrant outdoor spaces.
  • Support the upkeep of paved and slabbed areas with light repairs, sweeping, weed treatment and general maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full UK driving licence – you must be able to drive a manual company vehicle.
  • Previous experience as a Grounds Maintenance Operative – Gardener.
  • Post is subject to a Basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).

We would be excited if you have:

  • PA1 & PA6 spraying licence.
  • Banksman training.
  • Ability to drive a trailer.
