Maintenance Technician

Wellesbourne, Warwickshire – Onsite based role.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:15 – 15:15 and Friday 06:15 to 11:15.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a wide range of manufacturing equipment and facilities, responding promptly to breakdowns.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
• Diagnose electrical faults on PLC‑controlled systems and perform mechanical repairs, support equipment installations, and work on improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production teams, fellow technicians and specialist engineers to return equipment to service quickly and safely.
• Manage reactive maintenance activities and planned maintenance schedules, prioritise workload effectively, and use a CMMS system.

Qualifications

• Completed Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship with a recognised Level 3 qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent.
• Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with strong fault‑finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience working with relay logic and PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Strong communication skills, good organisation and the ability to prioritise workload.
• Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is beneficial.

Preferred Experience

• Experience operating forklifts, elevated working platforms, machine shop equipment (e.g. lathes, milling machines) and welding equipment.
• Qualifications such as HNC, HND or Health & Safety certifications.
• Background in automotive or high‑volume manufacturing environments.

Other Information

This role requires a proactive, hands‑on individual who takes pride in delivering high‑quality work and continuously looks for ways to improve equipment performance and reliability. Some travel to other sites and occasional overtime may be required.
