Role Description

The Assistant Manager role at Lovisa in Greenhithe is a full-time, on-site position supporting the Store Manager in daily store operations and team leadership. The Assistant Manager helps drive sales and customer satisfaction by leading by example on the sales floor, ensuring exceptional service and maintaining Lovisa’s high visual merchandising standards. This role includes supervising and coaching team members, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and assisting with scheduling to meet business needs. The Assistant Manager contributes to stock management, including deliveries, replenishment, stockroom organization, and loss prevention. The position also involves monitoring store performance, implementing company policies and procedures, and fostering a positive, fashion-focused culture aligned with Lovisa’s brand values.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail or customer-facing roles, preferably in fashion, accessories, or fast-moving consumer goods.
  • Supervisory or team leader experience, including coaching, performance feedback, and supporting staff development.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage customers, understand their needs, and maintain a customer-first mindset.
  • Basic commercial and sales skills, such as understanding KPIs, driving sales, and supporting visual merchandising and store presentation.
  • Organizational and time management skills, including handling multiple tasks, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and respectful communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team and with a wide range of customers.
  • Comfort with basic technology used in retail settings, such as point-of-sale systems, inventory tools, and email communication.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by store operations.
  • An interest in fashion and jewellery trends, with a willingness to learn, adapt, and represent the Lovisa brand as an ambassador.
