Lucky Voice is looking for an enthusiastic, bright and friendly Assistant Manager to join our team. Founded by Martha Lane Fox and Nick Thistleton, Lucky Voice is a small independent company with lots of exciting plans for the future. We have evolved quickly in the last few years from a single private karaoke venue operation to a multi-faceted business with an exciting online streaming business, 3 bars, and a growing franchise/licensing arm. Our vision is to spread happiness through unforgettable singing experiences through as many channels as possible.
Purpose of the role
You will be assisting the General Manager and Head of Operations in the day-to-day running of the venue.

Minimum 2 years management experience within a similar environment
Excellent problem solving techniques
Experience with sales
Good Interpersonal skills, excellent communication and motivator
Responsibilities
Ensure that all guests have a great Lucky Voice experience by being upbeat, friendly and super-efficient
Have a thorough understanding of all the areas of the Lucky Voice product
Have an ever-evolving understanding of new techniques/popular drinks and new products
Protect the license to trade by following company guidance
Protect the safety of all venue staff and customers by adhering to our Health and safety policy
Maximize sales and revenue by motivating your team
Financial responsibility for all back of house paperwork and reporting during the running of the shift should you be the designated manager on duty
Responsibility for the welfare of the staff and the customers while you are manager on duty and in the absence of the General Manager or Head of Operations.
Complete all assigned opening and closing procedures and running duties
Complete all projects/departments you are assigned weekly by your venue General Manager
Attend the Weekly Managers meeting with any project work requested
Fill in the systems & processes document weekly & assist the General Manager in documenting all legal weekly testing
Assist in hosting a quarterly staff meeting for all members of your team
Assist the General Manager in motivating team members to increase your budgeted spend per head
Protect & maintain the fabric of the building through weekly assessment & communicate any issues that arise, so they can be addressed as soon as possible in order to not impact on the guest experience
You will personally need to deal with any complaints that arise during the service period, in a cool, calm & professional manner at all times with a strong focus on leading by example
Cocktail testing ensuring the highest standards are always maintained by regular spot checks from you & liaising with the bar manager
Assist the General Manager in end of week banking & ensure all figures are correct to the penny
Ensure all communicated messages from HQ and the General Manager are relayed to staff in a timely manner – this could be in the form of a new marketing strategy or new product lines or any other information which may be important to the business
Routinely check the relevant Lucky Voice web pages to ensure that we are always correct in advertising promotions, menus, opening times etc.
Keep consistent levels of service between the bar and karaoke areas
Responsible for the appearance & welfare of all staff whilst they are on duty
Exercise control in the following areas at all times:
Accountable for all drinks served to the public
Accountable for profitability
Control of measures & quantities served
Elimination of wastage & pilferage
Security of cash & stock
To actively promote through the completion of the above, an increase in standards set & sales achieved
