Title: Mind Skills for Life Coordinator
Reference: NWM/719
Hours: Part Time, 14 hours / 2 days per week
Work Pattern: To be discussed at interview, but working between Monday – Friday 9AM – 5PM
Salary: £26,818 per annum, pro rata for part time hours
Contract: Temporary contract up to 12 months from start date
Location: REST Kings Lynn – PE30. A driver licence with business insurance and access to a vehicle is essential. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars; after home to work base mileage is deducted.
About the Role
The Mind Skills for Life Coordinator will lead the development, coordination and delivery of the Mind Skills for Life programme across North and West Norfolk. This dynamic and outward-facing role focuses on supporting young people at key transition points, improving mental health outcomes through early intervention and prevention. As this is a newly funded role, you will have the opportunity to shape how the programme is designed and delivered, working closely with schools, colleges, community partners and employers to build strong partnerships and embed a structured programme that is accessible, impactful and sustainable, working with the age range 14+.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a 12-month programme plan across the locality
- Build and maintain strong relationships with education providers and community stakeholders
- Establish referral pathways, engagement models and programme cohorts
- Deliver a mix of group sessions, workshops, and one-to-one support
- Provide triage, signposting and strengths-based wellbeing support
- Coordinate events, training and community activities
- Work collaboratively with partners to ensure individuals can access the right support at the right time
- Support referrals into counselling and wider services where appropriate
