Responsibilities

The role will involve working directly with women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets, supporting them to set goals and pursue the changes they wish to make through information sharing, advocacy, and practical support. You will provide a non‑judgemental, confidential space for women to talk and be heard.

Qualifications

  • Commitment and creativity to engage women who may be isolated and have difficulty engaging with other services.
  • Ability to think and work independently while also being a supportive colleague to the wider team.
  • Frontline experience working with vulnerable women/adults in contexts such as domestic or sexual abuse, substance misuse, mental health, or housing, or direct experience with women in the sex industry. A passion for empowering women and facilitating positive change.
  • Energy, motivation, and professional resilience.
  • Confidence in advocating on behalf of women and other professionals, while mindfully supporting and encouraging empowerment.

Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR)

This role is restricted to female applicants only under Section 9 of the Equality Act 2010, as it involves working alongside women who are survivors of exploitation and violence.
