Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Crane Operator Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in crane operation and be adept at delivering comprehensive training to aspiring crane operators. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex mechanical concepts in an understandable manner. The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring that trainees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate cranes safely and efficiently.

Duties

• Develop and deliver training programmes for crane operation, focusing on safety protocols and operational efficiency.
• Assess trainee performance through practical demonstrations and theoretical examinations.
• Provide hands‑on instruction in the operation of various types of cranes, including flatbed cranes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to crane operation.
• Collaborate with management to improve training materials and methodologies.
• Ensure all training equipment is maintained in good working order and is compliant with safety standards.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages trainee engagement and development.

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a crane operator with a valid operator’s licence.
• Background in commercial driving or delivery driver experience is advantageous.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to crane operations and maintenance.
• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with logistics operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively instruct trainees.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self‑motivated.
• Must have relevant tickets and experience (Blue card).
• References are mandatory.
• Safety Medical also a requirement.
