Community and Schools Champion

About the Role

As a Schools Champion, you will support Team Jak by raising awareness of our work in schools and engaging young people in our campaigns and activities. You will help organise and assist with school visits, workshops, and fundraising events, acting as a friendly and knowledgeable ambassador for the charity.

Responsibilities

• Contact and visit primary & secondary schools
• Present talks to assemblies, classes, and groups as required
• Coordinate our YPI schools, including offering tours and further information
• Attend YPI events when teams reach the final
• Act as “signposter” for anyone requiring support

Experience and Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, friendly, hard‑working, and committed volunteers
• Knowledge of and enjoyment of gardening (direction will be provided)
