Position Overview

We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join our team at the Children’s Home in Tackley, near Kidlington. You will work alongside children and young people aged 8‑18 who display emotional and behavioural difficulties, providing a kind, caring and fun environment despite the challenges they may bring. The role requires a flexible, motivated, determined and resilient staff member who can adapt to challenging situations.

Job Details

Salary: £14.45 – £15.15 per hour plus approximately £3,000 – £6,000 sleep‑in allowance per annum (£62.64 per sleep‑in, about 6‑8 sleep‑ins per month). From April 1st 2026.Hours: Full‑time, 39 hours per week.Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire (Children’s Residential business area).Driving requirement: Full UK Driving Licence required.

Main Responsibilities

Shifts run 7 days on, 7 days off – Wednesday to Wednesday. You will normally work 2 sleep‑ins per week once completed probation. There is one day off during the working week for time out, and accommodation is provided for the working week if required. You will be working to a rota that includes long days and sleep‑ins.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications and experience are welcome but not essential. Whilst employed you will be supported to gain vocational qualifications to enhance your pay and career progression.
