Location: Barnsley

Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour

Times & Days: Monday to Friday – 7:00am start

The Best Connection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Class 1 (C+E) Day Driver to join a well-established transport and logistics business based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver seeking consistent weekday work with regular start times, carrying out multidrop deliveries.

About the Role

Your duties will include:

• Completing full pre- and post-vehicle checks
• Carrying out multidrop deliveries to customer sites as per planned routes
• Following delivery schedules and instructions accurately
• Completing trunking, palletised multidrop deliveries or general haulage work (depending on route)
• Communicating professionally with the transport office and customers
• Ensuring all paperwork and delivery notes are completed correctly
• Adhering to all company and industry health & safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class 1 (LGV C+E) Licence
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Experience with multidrop work preferred
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
• Reliable, professional and punctual
• Comfortable with early morning starts
