Delivery and Collections Driver

Overview

The postholder will provide a consistent, high-quality, customer-focused delivery and collection service for libraries, museums, community hubs, and associated traded services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect resources across West and North Northamptonshire, transporting items such as books, furniture, shelving, salvage, and other equipment to support service delivery teams.
• Provide an excellent customer experience with high standards of service at all times.
• Safely and efficiently deliver resources by operating a van in line with Road Traffic Act regulations and planned schedules, while responding to ad hoc requests.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, maintenance, cleaning, and refuelling in accordance with council procedures.
• Support loading, unloading, and warehousing of service and supplier resources.
• Operate the van safely in all conditions and promptly report any issues to the appropriate manager.

Requirements

• A full clean UK driving licence is required.
