Diagnostic Technician

Location: Greater Belfast. Type: Full-time | Permanent. The opportunity to join an established commercial vehicle dealership as a Diagnostic Technician in the Greater Belfast area. This role focuses on advanced fault finding and diagnostics across a modern fleet of commercial vehicles and vans.

The Role

• Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault finding on HGVs, LGVs, and LCVs
• Use manufacturer diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues
• Support workshop technicians with complex mechanical and electrical faults
• Conduct servicing, repairs, and system testing where required
• Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and dealership standards
• Accurately complete diagnostic reports, job cards, and technical documentation
• Assist with identifying recurring faults and improving repair processes

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician
• Strong background in electrical systems, diagnostics, and fault finding
• Experience working on commercial vehicles (HGV, LGV, or LCV preferred)
• Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
• Full UK driving licence
