A fantastic Secondary School in Hammersmith is on the hunt for an Aspiring Maths Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a full time post.

This Aspiring Maths Teacher Program is being offered as a “Earn, while you teach & learn” route – which in turn is a Salaried Schools Direct scheme.

Key points about the scheme

• Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
• Employed directly by a school from day one
• Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
• Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
• One dedicated training day per week
• Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt-out available if required)
• Working at one School throughout – avoiding any conflict in different teaching styles (in turn reducing stress on teacher)

You will be working teaching across the Maths Department, supporting KS3-4 lessons, while having a focus on attainment & the quality of learning.

The Head Teacher would ideally like a Maths Graduate with any of the following Maths related degrees:

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Must have a desirable degree from the above subjects from a reputable University
• Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
• Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of both the GCSE & A Level curriculum
• You must be able to engage and motivate the students
• Commitment and ambition to succeed is key throughout
