Job Description:

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include a combination of admin and accounting duties:

  • Answering and transferring telephone calls
  • Managing appointment diaries and schedules
  • General office administration
  • Maintaining client records and files
  • Ordering stationery and office supplies
  • Bookkeeping and data processing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • Assisting with self‑assessment tax returns
  • Supporting senior accountants with the preparation of accounts and financial information

Additional Information

  • Pay rate will be reviewed ongoing for the right candidate with a view to securing a full‑time position
  • 30–35 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday between 10:00am and 6:00pm
  • Pay at or above the applicable National Minimum Wage / Apprenticeship Rate in accordance with current legislation
  • Full training and support within a Chartered Certified Accountancy Practice

Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSE grades A‑C desirable

  • Keen and reliable

  • Learner with good IT skills
  • Good communication skills
