# SEND Teaching Assistant & Midday Supervisory Assistant – Manor Leas Infant School## Job IntroductionThe Headteacher and Trustee Board are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic teaching assistant to become part of the school team. The successful candidate’s role will primarily involve working with pupils on an individual or small group basis, supporting them with their learning as well as delivering interventions on an individual basis or in small groups. The post may also involve working with other pupils. **The role involves working as part of a team to carry out duties including:** • encouraging the children to eat and enjoy their lunch • helping to serve hot school meals • supporting lunchtime activities for the children • helping the children to play safely • classroom supervision during wet playtimes • administering first aid Candidates will need to be able to use their initiative and have good communication skills. Candidates will be directed by the class teacher in supporting individual pupils, under the guidance of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator. Candidates will need to be able to adapt to different situations and be able to work with other adults and pupils to support learning. They should have an NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent and have experience of working with children.
