  • Commitment: Flexible – typically 1–2 evenings per week, plus occasional weekends and annual camps.

Whether you have a military background or none at all, we provide the training and support needed to become part of a team delivering one of the UK’s leading youth organisations.

Our volunteers inspire cadets aged 12–20 through challenging, rewarding and enjoyable activities that develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership.

What You’ll Do

As a Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer, you could:

  • Mentor and support young people to achieve their full potential.
  • Deliver or support training across a wide range of subjects.
  • Help organise adventurous training, fieldcraft, aviation, STEM, first aid, radio communications, cyber, music, sport and leadership activities.
  • Support camps, competitions and community events.
  • Develop the next generation of responsible, confident and capable young adults.
  • No two evenings are ever the same.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in people who are:

  • Reliable, approachable and professional.
  • Strong communicators and team players.
  • Willing to learn and undertake training.
  • Able to commit to regular volunteering.
  • Experience in education, emergency services, engineering, aviation, technology, healthcare, business, trades, outdoor activities or leadership is welcomed—but not essential.

Training
