Role Overview
Senior Care Assistant tasked with delivering safe, high quality, person‑centred care for 36 residents in a residential home located in High Peak.
Contract: £13.71 per hour, 36 hours per week, alternate weekends.
Benefits: Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time equivalent).
Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running of your shift, keeping care well organised and consistently delivered to a high standard.
- Provide hands‑on care to residents.
- Oversee medication administration and monitor residents’ wellbeing, responding promptly to changes.
- Maintain accurate care records.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum); Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
- Competency in medication administration training.
- Experience supporting or leading a care team (beneficial).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Caring, compassionate and professional approach.
