About the role:
A well-established and inclusive secondary school in Bradford is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its thriving Science department starting in September 2026 on a full-time and long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about science and dedicated to fostering academic excellence and curiosity in young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science in line with the national curriculum to KS4
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing targeted support where necessary
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
- Participate in extracurricular activities and science enrichment programmes
- Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and respect
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole‑school initiatives and continuous improvement
Pre‑requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in one or more science disciplines
- Has experience teaching in UK secondary schools or similar educational settings
- Shows commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
- Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Is enthusiastic about professional development and reflective practice
