The Bridge School, Sedgemoor are seeking to appoint a permanent, full time Science Teacher – MPS/UPS to start as soon as possible.
The Bridge School, Sedgemoor is one of four Pupil Referral Units commissioned by Somerset County Council and Somerset schools. We provide services through a number of centres for students who have a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. It is an exciting time for the PRU’s in Somerset as they are currently being reorganised. The Bridge School will join with Taunton Deane Partnership College from 1 April 2026 and this role will provide a great opportunity for the successful candidate to work with a wider range of children across the school.
Science Teacher
Deliver Combined and Single Science subjects up to GCSE level. Provide awareness and understanding of COSHH and safe storage of science equipment.
Support HLTAs in delivery and planning of lessons. Act as key teacher/tutor for small groups of learners.
Work flexibly, differentiate to a high level, support students with significant gaps in education and promote re‑engagement in learning.
Requirements: clean driving licence, prepared to work across Bridgwater and Taunton centres.
