As a Computing Tutor in our Adult Education Service, you will bring a passion for helping adults build computing skills and knowledge, supporting learners to gain the confidence and technical skills they need to thrive in a digital‑first world. Acting as an expert source of advice and guidance, you’ll deliver high‑quality, learner‑centric teaching to a diverse group of adults – from those with low digital literacy to those exploring more advanced computing and development topics. Your day‑to‑day will be varied and dynamic, including preparing course outlines and lesson plans and coordinating resources and materials.

This role is part‑time and may include evening and Saturday work, so you’ll need to bring flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or deep industry knowledge in Microsoft 365, IT support, hardware, networking, cybersecurity and online safety.
  • Experience teaching adults face‑to‑face and online, with the ability to use online e‑portfolio systems for assessment and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management and team‑working skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
