Finance Apprentice
Provide support to the Finance Officer and Deputy CEO, including data entry, invoice and bill processing, payment run preparation, bank transaction reconciliation, payroll assistance, email correspondence, and other tasks assigned by colleagues.
Job Purpose
Assist finance operations of The Junction, ensuring accurate financial records and timely support to management.
Responsibilities
- Data entry onto accounting software; process invoices and bills, ensuring accuracy.
- Assist with setting up payment runs and track payment due dates.
- Reconcile bank transactions and chase missing information.
- Respond to emails and follow up where required.
- Aid payroll process and address payroll queries.
- Provide information to managers to meet deadlines.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by colleagues.
- Attend AAT Level 2 course (one day a week off work).
- Learn about The Junction services and how your work supports positive impact.
- Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies.
- Adhere to policy environment, commitment to diversity, equality, and safeguarding.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant Level 2 finance qualification (AAT Level 2 or equivalent).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship program.
Support
Support will be provided by the Finance Officer or designated supervisor with regular supervision.
