Teaching Assistant (SEN) Level 2
Contract Type: Fixed term until 31 August 2027.
Pay Grade: Grade D3
Full Time Salary: £24,796
Actual Salary: £15,402.99
Hours: 26.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
Starting: 1 September 2026
We are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic, professional Teaching Assistant who understands the learning and pastoral needs of primary children. The role would entail supervising and supporting pupils in the learning environment, whilst assisting the teacher with the implementation of pupil education.
We Are Looking To Appoint Someone Who
- Is enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
- Will ensure all children feel safe, happy and able to learn
- Will create a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
- Will support the teacher in management of pupil behaviour and understand how to tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school’s Behaviour Policy.
- Is supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
- Understands our children and our community and is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school’s Code of Conduct.
- Is prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop their skills including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
- Understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare – both at home and in school.
